Dr. Seuss Day
We are having a party. It’s truer than true. We want to celebrate and party with you. I meant what I said, and I said what I meant. It’s Dr Seuss’s birthday, one hundred percent! Stop by for some fun on Tuesday, March 2nd at 2:00 p.m…here at The Chateau, where we will celebrate all the wonderful things Dr. Seuss has brought to us. Tongue twisters, rhymes storytelling, and lots of surprises!
International Women’s Day
On Monday, March 8th, we celebrate International Women’s Day, which is a worldwide celebration of women’s achievements, as well as a day of education, empowerment, and action. Its purpose is to promote gender equality across the globe. Celebrate with us at The Chateau, as we honor our ladies, both residents, and employees with positive affirmations, cards, and corsages.
National Good Nutrition Day
Celebrate National Nutrition month with us on Wednesday, March 10th, and learn all the good qualities of a healthy diet. You will learn all about the importance of “My Plate,” which explains examples of the best types of foods and how much you should eat at each meal. This is especially educational to our residents, who come here for rehabilitation then return home. This is going to be a great tool you can take home with you and maintain the healthy eating habits you learned while at our facility.
Pi Day got started in 1988 in San Francisco, when Larry Shaw, the legendary technical curator of the city’s Exploratorium, saw the connection between March 14 (3.14) and pi (3.14159…). Add in the fact that 3/14 is Albert Einstein’s birthday and you’ve got a ready-made celebration. OK, forget all of that. Here at The Chateau, PI day = Lots of pie eating! Take your choice between apple, blueberry, cherry, or sweet potato pie on Saturday, March 14th.
As we practice proper social distancing protocols in our community, we are proud to feature modified programming to continue providing vibrancy for our residents and employees. All events are subject to change. Please feel free to follow us on our Facebook page for continued updates as well as reaching out to us via Messenger.
